At UW Bothell, I am the primary writer for events run by the fundraising team. In the role, I have written for the university’s highest levels of leadership, including for the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellors, and Deans of each school.
For every event, I offer support to speakers in one of two ways:
- I write their entire speech after a brief interview, giving them the option afterwards to review and edit.
- I advise the person on what their speech might contain and help them to create an outline (if they ask for it). The person then writes their own speech and I give feedback and edits.
In the lead up to events, I also offer support and speaking advice depending on the confidence of the person involved.

Since many of my scripts aren’t published publicly, I’m unable to share them online, but can provide copies if contacted.
One public script I’m particularly proud of was by a new alumni who grew in confidence during UW Bothell’s MBA program. I later adapted the script into a first-person story published online.
